Using a framing square measure the depth of your door jamb by sliding the square under the newly cut gap until the tool hits the door frame or stud.
Next you slide the plank under the door jamb and tap it back toward you with a pull bar so it engages in the adjoining plank.
Cutting your own door jambs with a hand saw is the least expensive way.
The cuts will not show since they will be hidden under the door jamb.
Install the laminate under the door jamb not around it.
If there s a gap under your door casing and also a gap between two rooms under a door where two different installations of laminate flooring join you can install t molding to hide both gaps.
