Most of the relays that we sell at konnected are low trigger relays. Out pin or any zone 1 5 goes to in on the relay. A relay has two sides. Important notes for konnected and relays with the production boards you don t need a relay anymore for an alarm.

If you want to use konnected to control a garage door opener sprinkler system or turn on off something that has a separate voltage source you use a relay module. For instance for a garage door you just need to briefly close the circuit to actuate the garage door motor. This should start the garage door movement. Wire relay to board power connect the 5v on the board to vcc on relay female to female jumper ground connect gnd next to 5v on the board to the g on the relay female to female control connect pin to in on relay repeat if using multiple relays.

Wire warning buzzer optional but recommended you can use any zone for the buzzer except pin rx. Find the switched outputs for the garage door opener. I have the binary zones properly setup but when i go to setup the switchable outputs that are connected to the relays for garage door opening closing the konnected board opens the relays and won t close them. Briefly touch the wires together.

Make sure you change that setting in the thing configuration. One thing many of us use everyday are garage door openers. Now if your activate the switch it triggers the relay as it s supposed to 500ms pulse and the door activates. But that s not the only thing it can do.
